Christina Marin, the artist behind the canvas is a self-taught Canadian Oil & Acrylic painter. Here you will find Original Wildlife Paintings, Custom Pet Portraits as well as Limited Edition Wildlife Prints for sale.

Christina has been painting and drawing since she was a child. Being highly intuitive and empathic to the world around her and all of nature would be overwhelming at times, so she loved spending time alone, creating every chance she had, getting lost in whatever she was drawing or painting at the moment. It was how she would find peace and still is to this day.

Christina pulls constant inspiration from some of her favorite parts of nature, such as night skies, moody scenery of rolling fogs and mists, moss-covered everything, and a wish for eternal autumn. Forest-dwelling in Northern Canada for years, living among nature, she is a haunter of the woods, feeling at home surrounded by ancient rocks and trees, thousands of lakes, starry nights, northern lights, and the call of wildlife like Loons, Owls, Wolves, Bears, Moose, and Elk.

Being of mixed race heritage, Romani (Gypsy), Slavic, Indigenous, and French Canadian Ancestry, has opened her to embrace many spiritual teachings and understandings. This, combined with being highly sensitive to subtle energies has led her to hold a strong belief in Animism, the understanding that everything in nature has a soul. Christina very much believes the Earth and all living beings are sacred and need our empathy and protection. Having many animals by her side throughout her life has only strengthened this perception. Christina’s art has not only become a way to honor the spirits of her beloved animals but as a way to pay tribute to all animals and nature, and the spirit within everything. This combines an ethereal, dream-like feel, into the art you see here. Sharing her artwork to show the world through her eyes, and how she sees every living creature as eternal, including ourselves. All of these factors have added the finishing touch to shaping her artwork into what it is today. Shaping who she is today.

Working as a Visionary Wildlife Artist, painting each animal intuitively. Depicting the delicate energies that she has experienced and seen all of her life, a beautiful combination of light and dark, reflecting the very balance that is nature.

Besides artwork, Christina is a trained Martial Artist having earned black belts in two different styles throughout her life, and competing in tournaments throughout Canada and the U.S. She also loves yoga, spending time with loved ones, and music, a very rare thing to catch her without headphones in her ears, especially while creating.

Currently, Christina resides in Ontario, Canada. She has been selling her artwork since 2012. In 2019 she decided to walk down the path of being a full-time artist. Christina has sold her artwork all around the world and feels immensely blessed that her creations have touched so many lives.
